In January 2023 we were contacted by the Somerset Chamber of Commerce to inform us that we’d been finalised for the Environmental Achievement Award! This was fantastic and made us feel very accomplished. We were visited by Gravity, the category sponsor, who conducted visits to all finalists of the Environmental Achievement Award.
After booking our tickets for the prestigious event at the Wintergardens in Weston Super Mare, we began to get very excited for the big day! Eight of our colleagues attended the black-tie event, including members of our warehouse and production team. We all felt very hopeful to win but also acknowledged that even becoming a finalist was a huge achievement. We were greeted with a drink’s reception, followed by a three-course meal. The host was fantastic and really engaged the audience.

We eventually reached the Environmental Achievement category and we were against some fantastic, worthy competition. However, when they finally announced the winner, it was PVA Hygiene! We were delighted with the victory and Nick (Operations and Production Director) and Will (Sales Manager) were presented the award by Gravity. The night was young and we all continued to enjoy the evening, with delicious food, drinks and being able to meet fellow Somerset businesses. As a huge supporter of community engagement, we all enjoyed getting to know our Somerset peers. We now proudly display our trophy and certificate in our welcome room in the office in Wrington.
Our next Awards ceremony is in June, where we’re nominated for manufacturer of the year at the UK Green Business Awards! We can’t wait for the occasion.
